Disability Equality North West (DENW)
This graphick was produced at a community consultation meeting about the Judicial Review and Challenge to Lancaster County Council held by Disability Equality North West on 23rd September 2011.
"We use Graphics as an accessible method of recording the questions and feedbacks of an event. It gives us a 'pictorial' record of the event that we can display in our centre which then facilitates further discussion of the topic. During an event having a graphic facilitator also facilitates the process of people asking questions, some people feel more comfortable seeing pictures and seeing their question in pictures rather than words.
We think the graphic Stephen produced is great - it accurately recorded the event including questions and feedback. Importantly it was completed at the event and given to us on the day - so no waiting. The pictures used were easy to understand by people who didn't attend the event and were a good choice.
Stephen has a real talent for turning words, and often complicate discussions into pictures and easy to understand graphics. This makes it really accessible for people who don't like or understand words and text. He is also very easy to work with in that he finds out what we want, does the graphics and gives them to us on the day - no waiting or long meetings to discuss" - Mel Close, CEO. www.disability-equality.org.uk
The graphick below was produced for DENW and is a visual summary of their strategic aims from 2011 to 2016.
